REDUCE LUNCH ROOM WASTE. Much of the waste from school cafeterias comes from excessive packaging used in our children’s lunches and snacks. Help reduce this waste by using reusable containers and lunch boxes! A couple good choices are Ecolunchboxes (available at Diablo Foods) and the The Laptop Lunch box system which includes individuals containers and beverage holders. Instead of using baggies and plastic wrap for sandwiches and snacks, use reusable plastic containers or an easy to clean Wrap-n-Mat.
