Climate Change - Kids Making a Difference
Monday, March,16 2009
On Monday, March 16th there will be a special
presentation and event on climate change just for
kids, organized by the 5th Grade Girl Scout Troop at
Lafayette Elementary School and Sustainable
Lafayette. The evening will feature a presentation by
Doug Grandt and Paul Valva of
The
Climate Project,
which was developed in partnership with Girl Scouts.
The program is designed for kids (especially 3rd-7th
grade) and their parents and will cover what "climate
change" is and what kids are doing and can do to make
a difference. Kids will also share what they’re doing
already in the community and there will be “By Kids,
For Kids” educational displays.
WHEN: Monday, March 16th at 7-8:30 pm
WHERE: Our Savior Lutheran Church at 1035 Carol Lane in Lafayette
Admission is free, but space is limited and advance registration is required. To register, email aej@cpdb.com.

"Who Kiled the Electric Car".

Lamorinda Green Drinks

The next Lamorinda Green Drinks event will be
Tuesday, March 10th from 5:30-7:30pm at the Moraga
Barn (925 Country Club Drive, Moraga). Beer, wine,
and soft drinks for sale and complimentary hors
d'oeuvres. Lamorinda Green Drinks is an informal
opportunity for local businesses and residents that
are interested in green practices and sustainability
to socialize, network and learn from one
another.
