The next Green Screen Film Night will be on
Tuesday, August 10th at the
Town Hall Theatre and feature the film
“DEEP DOWN”. The movie producers will
be there to introduce the film, which follows two
friends in eastern Kentucky who find themselves at the
center of a contentious battle over a proposed
mountaintop removal coal mine. Adults are $10 (online
price) and students are just $5. Ticket includes wine
tasting and appetizers in the lobby starting at 6pm,
followed by the movie at 7pm.

Food - Fall Vegetable Planting” on Sunday,
August 1st and “California Natives for
Lafayette Gardens” on Sunday, August 8th.
These two lunch-time workshops will help you create a
yard that produces food, uses native plants, requires
less irrigation, and is more

“LIVING DOWNSTREAM”. The
feature-length documentary is about ecologist and
cancer survivor, Dr. Sandra Steingraber, as she travels
across North America, breaking the silence about cancer
and its environmental links. Adults are $10 (online
price) and students are just $5. Ticket includes wine
tasting and appetizers in the lobby starting at 6pm,
followed by the movie at 7pm.

The next Green Screen Film Night will be on
Wednesday, June 16th at the
Town Hall Theatre and feature the film
“Trashed”. Trashed, produced by a
former school teacher, examines the causes and effects
of the seemingly innocuous act of “taking out the
garbage” and the disposal of what our society defines
as “waste.” This is a very informative and eye-opening
film for all ages. It has been featured at many film
festivals across the country and received positive
reviews since its release in 2007. Adults are $10
(online price) and students are just $5. Ticket
includes wine tasting and appetizers in the lobby
starting at 6pm, followed by the movie at 7pm.

The next Green Rheem Film Night will be on
Tuesday, May 11th
at the
Orinda Theater
and feature “WALL-E”.
WALL-E, a great film for all ages, won best animated
picture in 2008 and has won 45 other awards in the past
two years. We are partnering with EarthTeam, an
environmental network for teens, teachers, and youth
leaders. Adults are $10 (online price) and students are
just $5. Ticket includes juice tasting and appetizers
in the lobby starting at 6pm, followed by the movie at
7pm.
