Sustainable Lafayette is always looking for volunteers to help with the following. We like to have a lot of fun and help the community at the same time.
Help with Events - Earth Day Team 2008
Work at our booth/table at a local event to help spread the word about Sustainable Lafayette and sustainability. We are currently looking for volunteers to help with Earth Day 2008 which will be held on Sunday, April 20th from 12-4pm at Stanley Intermediate School.
Help with Specific Projects
Work on a specific project that Sustainable Lafayette is tackling.
Help with a Committee
Right now we are trying to put together committees to focus on schools and businesses. Let us know if you are interested.
Workshops
We hold periodic workshops and are always looking for great speakers and experts on sustainability-related topics.

Sustainable Lafayette is also looking for folks that want to take an ongoing position with Sustainable Lafayette and meet on a monthly basis. Director of Educational Programs - This role involves coordinating our ongoing educational programs, such as the workshops that we hold at the Lafayette Community Center.
Director of School Programs & Committee - This role involves developing and coordinating programs for local schools that help them to adopt sustainable practices (recycling, etc.). Activities include researching resources available to schools, meeting with schools, and cultivating school success stories. We also expect to have a committee of parents that want to help make our schools more green.
Director of Business Programs - This role involves developing and coordinating programs for local businesses that help them adopt sustainable practices. Activities include researching resources available to small businesses, meeting with businesses, and cultivating business success stories. We are actively working with the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber's new Green Committee.
Director of Membership & Outreach Events - This role involves coordinating our involvement in appropriate events around the community and figuring out ways to increase our membership and energize our members.
Local Food Committee - We are expecting to form a local food committee that will look at different ways to promote local food around the community.
